Friday after work I went directly home besides I stopped at the coop to buy some stuff. Then I ate, did my chores until 4 or 5 and then used my computer for most of the evening. I also did a few things in between, like pack more and so. I ordered a pizza and ate it at the TV and then used my computer until late. I also had enough beers. I went to bed rather late.
Saturday, I woke up rather late, did a few things and then had a breakfast at the computer. Then I used my computer more but also did many small things, I had enough to do. Later in the afternoon, I went to the Qualipet Volkiland to buy cat food and cat sand and I was around one hour away. Then, I had a tea and did some stuff and then I used my computer more. When the evening came, I ordered a cordon bleu and ate it at the TV, with a beer. Then I used my computer again. At 9:30PM, Toxo came to my place and we spent the next hours on my balcony. We smoked a shisha, drank beer and talked. He left at around midnight. I tidied up, used my computer a bit and then did a few things and had a shower. I wend to bed a bit late.
Sunday, I woke up at 7:45. I did a few things like chores and finished to pack and had a real breakfast, then got ready and left at around 9AM. I took a bus and a train to Zürich. There I took euros and bought something to eat and drink. I went to the train direction Salzburg. I had to change to the bus in Bludenz because of works in the Vorarlberg tunnel. We were a bit more than one hour in the bus and it went well but it wasn't too comfortable. In Ötztal, I took the train again to Salzburg. I arrived at 4PM. I first took a coffee and a drink and walked around and then walked for Siegmar on the quay. He came a bit before 5PM. We said hello and talked and then checked in at the hotel. We went to the room for some time and later we went out to search for a restaurant. We needed some time to find one but anyway, we could look around. We found a Gasthof I ate meat with vegetables and it was quite good. Of course I had a beer with it. Then we ate an Apfelstrudel and later paid and went back to the hotel. In the hotel, we talked and I used my laptop and later I took a shower and went early to bed.
Monday, we woke up at 6:45 and went to have a breakfast at 7AM. When we were finished, we went to the room to get ready and left the hotel at 8AM. We went to the station to check if tickets that Siegmar had were still valid and it was the case. We took a bus to the zoo and walked to the entrance. We had to wait until the zoo opens. Then went to the big cats and started to take photos of the jaguars, puma and snow leopards. We stayed a certain time there and later went to the lions I stopped at the maned wolf and then cheetahs. Then we stayed inside and took photos of the lions. Later, I left Siegmar and walked alone through the zoo and took more photos. The weather was quite changing, sometimes a bit or rain, sometimes sun. But not too bad. I sometimes met Siegmar at the big cats and also stayed with him for a while, at least when it was interesting. I got some more photos of the jaguars and also old male puma. Then, I went to the restaurant to have a cappuccino and cake and took time to sit and check and charge my phone. Then walked around the zoo again and could take some more photos. I went back to the big cats and met Siegmar and took more big cats photos. I walked again around the zoo and a bit and then took photos of the snow leopards because they were active. Then we left at 5:30 PM and waited for the bus for a certain time. We went with it to the main train station and then to the hotel. We left our bags and and went outside again. I ate at the McDonald's next to the train station and Siegmar went to buy his dinner. After eating I went back to the room and used my laptop, phone, talked to Siegmar etc. Later, I took a shower and went to bed rather early.
Tuesday, we woke up rather late and went to have our breakfast at 8AM. Then we stayed one hour in the room and checked out at 10AM. We walked to the train station and then waited for the train. First in a waiting room and then on the platform. Then the train came and inside I talked with Siegmar and write with my laptop. We arrived in Vienna and bought tickets, then went to the hotel to check in. We went to the room to install and went to a shop to buy something to drink and a bit to eat. We went back to the room and then took the underground train to the old city and walked around and I took some photos. We ate an ice cream and visited more. We walked quite a lot and I also took some photos. We saw some monuments. Then we sat some time in the Stadtpark and later walked to a restaurant nearby. There, I ate wiener Schnitzel and had a beer. Then we payed and left. We walked quite long back to the hotel and we arrived a bit late at the hotel and I walked at least 23000 steps. I used my laptop and phone and talked with Siegmar. Then I took a shower and went to bed not too late.
Wednesday, we woke up quite early. We went to have breakfast at 6AM and then we directly went to the train station and took a train to Bratislava. Then we took two buses and walked to the entrance of the zoo. We waited around 30 minutes until they opened it and payed and then walked to the cats at the entrance: leopards, jaguars, white tigers and lions. We spent the first hours so (and took many photos) and then went to the lynxes but didn't see them. Then to the wolves and it was better, we saw them and also took some good photos. Siegmar left and I stayed there to take more photos. I went to the lynxes and this time I saw three. Two even mated and I think there were two males. Anyway, after a certain time and a few photos I left and went to the cats but later also went to the apes and other places. I bought a drink and later a pancake but always went back to the cats to take more photos. The afternoon the males (leopard, jaguar, white tiger) were outside and I could take more photos. There was quite some action but we slowly had to leave... We packed and walked to the bus. We took a bus to the main train station this time and at the station I bought a ticket because I lost the other one and a drink too. We waited for the train quite long and then get in it. Inside, I mostly watched my photos but also slept a bit. We arrived in Vienna about one hour later. We stayed a bit at the hotel and then got out to look for a restaurant and walked a bit and then found a quite small one which was okay. The only problem is that people were smoking inside. I took some meat with rice and sauce and then we payed and went back to the hotel. I used my laptop and phone and talked to Siegmar. Then I took a shower and went to bed.
Thursday, we woke up rater early and packed a bit. Then, we ate breakfast and went up to finish to pack, then went to the train station. We put our case and back in a locker and then took two underground trains to the zoo of Vienna. We first waited until it opens and took our ticket and then went inside the zoo. Sadly it was raining a bit. We went to the tigers and saw a tigress walking and I took quite many pictures. Then went to the leopards but they were lying down and we didn't see them well. We walked around and didn't really see the lions. So back to the leopards, then I wanted to see the pandas and saw one lying, but didn't take pictures because the position was rather bad. I went back to Siegmar at the leopards and saw he was talking to someone and after a while, I realizes it was a furry that Siegmar knew a bit. We talked and then the leopards were active so I took some photos and then we went outside and walked to see the cats and took more photos. We went back to the leopards and later we walked quite long all around the zoo. I took photos and we talked. Then, we went back to the cats and walked a bit around and took more photos. Later, I went to eat an Apfelstrudel and have a drink and then sat with the two others at the elephants. Then, we walked more around the zoo and of course, I took more photos. Then went back to the cats and also walked to the pandas and didn't see them. Then last time to the big cats, then to the pandas and at the end of the Koalas. One of them was eating so I could take some pics. At this point, we had to leave, so we talked to the furry called Telico and then left and took the two underground trains and at the train station, we went to the Spar to buy some food for the travel and then took our bag and case from the lockers and took the train. We took the train to Olomouc but had to stop in Přerov, a small town and wait there at the train station around 30 minutes. We arrived in Olomouc rather late. First I took enough money in the local currency and then we walked to the hotel, it was a quite long way, so I was a quite tired when we arrived at the hotel. We checked in and then installed us and then used my laptop and phone, talked and so and later I had a shower and then went to bed not too late.
Friday, we woke up not too late, got ready and had breakfast. After the breakfast, we packed, checked out and went the way back to the train station with everything. There, we put the luggage in a locker but I needed to get change and it was a bit difficult because people there cannot really speak English. I also bought bus tickets. Then, we took a bus to the zoo which is in a nearby village. From the bus station we had to walk around 15 minutes and then waited almost 30 minutes until the zoo was open. It was raining a bit. We bought a ticket and walked to the big cats. First cheetahs and then saw the tigers, lions and jaguars. The jaguars was inside and the male was in a mating mood, so it was interesting to see. I also went sometimes outside to see the lions and tigers, especially since the weather was getting better. So we stayed there a long time and then decided to walk quite much to the leopards and on the way we saw other animals but nothing really much to photograph besides servals. Lots of the trees were also destroyed from a storm which occurred in march. We arrived at the leopards and saw a female but she was mostly against the fence, so I didn't get many good photos. We also saw the arctic wolves, but also not that good. Then, we left and went again to the jaguars and other cats. The jaguars were outside so I could take better pictures and the weather was also much better so I was only in t shirt which was good. We stayed a while there and wanted to see more so I walked direction entrance and saw many animals but didn't really take many photos. I also went to the leopards but saw nothing. I then walked back to the big cats and took more photo and also looked a the nearby enclosures. Then bit black clouds came and brought lots of rain, so I got shelter in the big cats house and waited until it was gone, but I could take good photos of the binturong and jaguaress. Also some of a fishing cat. When the weather was good again, we left and went to the leopards and saw nothing, then walked a bit around the zoo and left it. We walked to the bus and took it to the train station. We bought something to eat and drink at a small store and then sat down some time. Later, we took our luggage from the locker and went into the train. We stayed in the train to Hodonin around one hour and during this time I watched my photo, used my phone and talked to Siegmar. When we arrived, we walked directly to our pension, checked in and stayed in the room for some time. Then went out to eat. First we walked a long time and wanted to go to a typical restaurant but sadly it was permanently closed. We then looked online to find more restaurant and stayed at the restaurant of a hotel near the train station. The guy working there could speak a bit of English. We ate a schnitzel with fries and of course beer. It was rather good and of course quite cheap. Later we payed and walked back to the hotel. I used my laptop, phone and talked to Siegmar. Later I took a shower and went to bed rather early.
Saturday, we woke up not too early, got ready and first went to the supermarket nearby and bought something to eat and drink for the train travel of Sunday. We walked back to the room to put the stuff in it and took our photo bags to the breakfast. We had a quite simple breakfast and then left and walked to the zoo, it took us quite some time. We arrived at the zoo a bit after 9 and payed. We walked to the jaguars and the old lioness, took some photos and then further to more animals and then arrived to the big enclosure where two parent white lions were with two 4 month old cubs. Besides were an enclosure with 4 Siberian tigers. All siblings and almost two years old The mother was separated and then father in the old enclosure. So, we stayed there for a long time and could take many photos. The weather was nice and quite warm. Then we walked around the zoo which wasn't that big and I could take more photos. We mostly went from the lions and tigers to the jaguars but also took photos of other animals. I was also sometimes alone. I bought enough to drink and then something sweet to eat. After clouds came with some rain but still not a lot. I bought me a beer and drank it while taking photos of the young tigers. We walked around again for the rest of the time and decided to leave. I took again quite many photos during this day. We walked to the hotel and when we arrived at the room, I was quite dead! I lied down on my bed some time until I was feeling better and left the room again. We walked quite long through the city and it was interesting to see the small houses and so. We ate in a "pirates" Mexican restaurant and it was good but also rather expensive for the country. I had Nachos and Fajitas and one beer. We payed and walked back to the hotel, we needed around 15-20 minutes and stopped at the train station to see about our train for tomorrow. When we arrived at the hotel, I lied down and used my phone and laptop. I also talked quite much to Siegmar. Later, I had a shower and went to bed, not late as usual.
Sunday, we could also sleep until late, so 7:45. We packed and later went to have breakfast. We brought our luggage to the eating room to save time. After eating we checked out and walked to the train station, not too fast because we had time. We sat down outside until our train came and went inside. We had to walk through the wagons until we found ours which was the only first class. During the travel, I talked, used my phone, ate, drank, watched my photos and also used my laptop. We arrived in Warsaw at around 3:30PM. We first bought a ticket for the travel Krakow-Budapest, sadly the woman didn't know any English, but we still managed to get the ticket. After that, I took Zloty at a bancomat and walked to the hotel(it took some time) and checked in. First the woman at the reception charged us for the breakfast although Siegmar payed for it, so I came back, explained and got the money back. We stayed in the room quite long because it was raining and only later we went to the restaurant of the hotel. The guy there was nice and could speak German. We ate a soup and main course which were quite typically Polish, with a beer or two. Then we paid and came back to our room. I spend the rest of the evening on my laptop and phone and talked to Siegmar. I took a shower and went to bed not too late.
Monday, we woke up at a normal time, packed and went to have breakfast. Then took all our stuff, checked out and went to the train station. We put our luggage into a locker and then took a tram to the zoo. We had to walk a few minutes to the entrance and waited a few minutes until we could pay and get into the zoo. The weather was quite cloudy and cold, sometimes it lightly rained. We walked around the zoo but first didn't see many of the animals, besides the cheetahs and a few other ones. Then we went to the big cats and saw the snow leopards but they didn't pose well for a photo. We saw a Sumatran tigress and then a couple of lions. We walked to the jaguar and saw them shortly go out, but the windows weren't good to take photos. We didn't stay long and walked around the zoo and took photos of other animals, but not a lot, I think because of the weather. We came back a few times to the big cats and could take photos of them, also of the snow leopards and also of other animals. Then, we ate a late lunch, it was a hamburger and fries. We visited the zoo a few more hours and always came back to the big cats and took some photos. The tigress and lions were particularly photogenic. At around 4:15 I walked back to the entrance of the zoo and waited for Siegmar. We walked fast to the tram station and could just catch one. We stopped before the train station because we wanted to buy something to eat and drink at a supermarket but it was full of people, so we decided not to go and went to the train station. We find a store and bought something to eat and drink. We then took our luggage from the lockers and waited to see where our train started. We went into the train. It was a higher class intercity and we had reserved seats in the first class. So we the journey Warsaw-Krakow lasted only a bit more than two hours. In the train I ate and then used my phone. I also looked through the window and talked a bit to Siegmar. We arrived in Krakow and walked through the train station and the shopping mall which were together. We went out to buy bus tickets for the next day and then walked to the hotel. We checked in and got into the room which had a door directly to the yard. The next hour or so, I relaxed and got ready, used my phone a bit and later had a shower and then went to bed not too late.
Tuesday, we woke up not too early, got ready and had a breakfast in a restaurant belonging to the hotel. I went after to the reception to tell they have to fix my bed because one of the slats was displaced. We also decided not to go to the zoo because it was raining too much. We left and went to the shopping mall. We waited for Charlie and Soren and when the came, we said hello and walked in the streets of the city. We walked toward the old town and arrived at a big place and wanted to visit a museum there but there weren't more tickets available. We visited a small market in the same building. We walked more in the old town and visited a small museum with old coins and banknotes. We walked through the streets to the Wavel castle. There, we waited for Marcan. When he came, we visited an old tower with a nice view over the city. Later, we walked a bit and visited the cathedral nearby. We walked more and then visited the caves under the castle, it was kind of cool. We walked then in the streets of the city and stopped at a Japanese restaurant. I ate a quite big ramen and drank a water. We paid and left. We then walked through the Jewish part of the city but sadly it was raining quite much, so didn't see too much. Later, we walked back to the big place in the old town, looked around but didn't visited anything (we wanted to visit the church there but since we had to pay, we decided not too). We walked more and said bye to Charlie and Soren. We walked further with Marcan and stopped at a beer bar. There, I had two different beers and we talked a lot with Marcan but of course also with Siegmar. We stayed in this pub until 6PM and then walked towards the main station to our hotel, we needed 20 more minutes. We stayed in the room around 15 minutes with Marcan. Then, I left alone with Marcan and we walked towards the old city, to a restaurant that he knew. It was full with mostly tourists and we had to wait, but then Marcan ordered dumplings with different fillings and they were quite good. We had them with a beer and we talked quite much, it was nice to see him again. We left at 9:15PM and we walked together to the door the hotel. I went to the room and used my phone and did a few things, then had a shower and went to bed again rather early.
Wednesday, we also woke up rather late but I didn't feel very well. I started to pack and then we went to take the breakfast. After the breakfast, I finished to pack and lied down a bit. Then, we went to a store at the train station to buy something to drink and eat for the train journey. We came back to the room for a bit more than 30 minutes to rest a bit. We took our stuff, checked out, walked to the train station and knew where the train started so went to this platform and could already get into it almost 30 minutes before departure, so we could already get comfortable. The train started in time but was quite slow in Poland because of renovations of the tracks. We then arrived in Bohumin and our wagon has been attached to another train, it was interesting to see. The train went direction southwest through Czechia and than we went into Slovakia towards Bratislava. The train got more and more full. In the train, I mostly used my phone or talked to Siegmar, but also used my laptop to write this. I also ate and drank a bit. At around half past seven, we arrived in Budapest. We first found a bancomat to take some Forint and then looked some stuff around. We walked to our hotel and it took some time but we found it. Since it was my first time in Hungary, it was interesting to look around. At the hotel we checked in and went to the room. It was a quite nice room. We didn't stay too long but looked for information and also in which restaurant to eat. We went outside again and found a small but fine Hungarian restaurant. I ate a goulash soup and sweet peppers, so quite traditional. And with a dark beer of course. We didn't stay too long, paid and left. Then, we went to the train station to look where the lockers are and some other information. We came back to the hotel. I used my phone, laptop and talked to Siegmar. Then had a shower and went to bed not too late.
Thursday, we woke up at a normal time, went to have breakfast and then got ready in the hotel room. We let our luggage at the reception and checked out. Then walked from the hotel to the zoo, it took 20 minutes but it was okay. We waited a bit until the cashier opens and then we walked into the zoo. After a while we found them. There were Asiatic lions, a leopard and Siberian tigers. Nearby dholes with lots of babies and a brown bear. I could take many photos and stayed in the area. Then went to visit more of the zoo and went to the savanna enclosure and other places. I came back to the predators, took more photos but then went to the other direction of the zoo to see the Australian part, polar bears and lots more. So during the day, I mostly stayed at the predators, then went away to look around and take some pictures, etc. The time passed by. Near the end I could pet a friendly male mouflon, then the male leopard was active and I could take many nice photos. Then I ate a pastry specialty and ate it. We left and I finished to eat my pastry on the way to the hotel. Then we found a small supermarket where I bought drinks and some paprika powder. We then took our luggage from the hotel and then walked to the nearby underground station. We needed to take two trains to a big train station. We arrived actually at the train station on hour before our train was departing, so we had time to sit, talk and look around. The train came earlier so we could sit and wait until it departed. In the train, I looked at my photos of the zoo and used my phone. As usual I also talked to Siegmar. A bit more than one hour later, we arrived at Györ. We first looked a bit around the train station and then walked to the hotel, which was quite nice. We checked in and went to the room. In the room, we stayed a bit and then walked out again. We walked through the old city which was nice because most of the buildings were renovated and looked around for a restaurant. We found one which was rather expensive and posh, but still quite cheap in comparison to Switzerland for example. I had a venison Goulash and again a dark beer. We payed and walked more through the old city, then to the train station and then back to the hotel room. In the room, I used my computer, phone and also talked to Siegmar. I had a shower and went to bed at a normal time.
Friday, we woke up rather late. We got ready, went to have breakfast and took our time. We asked for buses to the zoo at the reception and then went to a supermarket to buy stuff for the journey back. Then dropped what we bought in the room and walked to the bus station. We realized that the bus going to the zoo didn't start from there, so walked 10 minutes to another part of the city but again, needed some time to find the station. An older man also told us in English where to get out, he took the same bus as us. We needed to walk more to the zoo and first we followed the wrong direction. We finally arrived at the zoo at 10:30, and it opened at 10AM, so we didn't lose too much time. We walked to the white lions and took photos of them then walked further but didn't found them because of works in the middle of the zoo. Fortunately a man who could speak English told us the way and we found the jaguars and took photos of them. The female is spotted and her name is Zoya and the male is black and his name is Chico. I talked to the man who is the official photographer of the zoo and then also took photos of the white tigers. A mother with four cubs. Nearby was also Asiatic black bears. We stayed at this place for quite long and also talked more to the photographer. He was nice but also liked a lot to talk. He also showed me his photography page on Facebook. I took many photos of the big cats and when they were calmer, we went to see more of the zoo, we saw rhinos and then went to an enclosure with different hoofed animals. Siegmar went back but I stayed a bit. I came back to the jaguars and tigers and took more photos of them. Not much later, I saw that the tapirs were at the place where you can pet them because of only two metal bars and I stayed quite long with them (a big female and a smaller male). I pet them on the neck and belly and both loved it, they closed eyes and drooled, like in trance. So I stayed at least one hour with them. Then, the jaguars were active so I took more photos and then we walked around the zoo again. We stopped to sit down and have a drink, then went to the lions and then to other animals and then again to the jaguars and white tigers. I also took bear photos. I could pet the tapirs a bit more. We walked around the zoo again and before coming back to the jaguars, stayed at the pygmy hippos. I went back to the jaguars and white tiger for a while, took more photos and looked around and then went to the entrance of the zoo. I waited for Siegmar and when he came, we went outside and walked quite much to a bus station. We took the bus and could get out quite close to the hotel. In the hotel room, we chilled down about 30 minutes, it was good because the day was busy. Then, we went outside again and walked quite long in the old town. This time I took my D850 to take photos. Then, after walked a while, we found a restaurant and I ordered a salad, special cotelette with special rice. I was quite yummy and I ate with two beers. Then we payed and walked around quite a while around the old town and then near the train station and town hall. I took more photos. We arrived at the room. I used my laptop, my phone, talked to Siegmar and did some more stuff. I also started to look at my photos. Then I took a shower and went to bed.
Next morning, we woke up at 6AM. Since I didn't sleep well, I was quite tired. I packed and got ready, then we went to eat the breakfast. We took time. We went to the room to finish to pack and chill and then at 7:30 we took our stuff, checked out and walked to the train station. We directly went to the platform and waited for the train. It came with 5 minutes delay, not bad. We went to the train and it went within a bit more than one hour to Vienna. I talked to Siegmar and also watched my photos. He went out in Vienna, so I said bye. Then I finished to watch my photos and when done I copied them to the hard drive. Later, I used my laptop and also my phone. Later, I also ate a drink a bit and took a few photos of the landscape, while the train was traveling across Austria. I also slept a bit and time went faster as expected. We reached Switzerland and a bit more than one hour later I arrived in Zürich. I took a ticket and waited for the train. I arrived at Schwerzenbach and took the bus home, but had to walk a few minutes. When I came, the apartment was quite clean, because Anita came before to clean a bit, I was glad. But I still had lots to do the next couple of hours. I fist went to the coop to buy important stuff and tidied a bit. I also emptied my case, went brought it with the cat box to the cellar and looked at the post. Later, Anita came with some Älplermagronen that she cooked. We warmed it, prepared a salad and prepared the meal. We eat together and I had a beer with it. Then we watched TV and talked. Later, we tidied up and she left. I did a few things and then used my computer and then had a shower. I went to bed at midnight because I was quite tired.
Sunday, I woke up at around 10 but stayed a bit in my bed. Then, I got up, did some chores and then had a breakfast at the computer. I used my computer for most of the day but of course I stopped every hour or so to do some chores. I also ate more, pet my cats. At the computer, I mostly watched the photos of the trip and deleted the bad ones. I also replied mails and did lots more! I ate more at 6PM and at 7:30 PM I watched the news while eating the rest of the Älplermagronen and when finished, I tidied up and did some chores and used my computer again. Later I had a shower. I used my computer again for around two hours and also had a beer. I went to bed at around midnight.
